DKI-Polda Metro Jaya Cooperates to Protect Women and Children from Violence

Jakarta Government and Polda Metro Jaya, agreed on integrated service cooperation in preventing and handling violence against women and children.

This becomes our anticipatory step to protect children and women

The agreement itself was signed by Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan and Polda Metro Jaya Deputy Head, Brig. Gen. Wahyu Hadiningrat at City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

Anie s said that this cooperation was a concrete form of government's effort in protecting women in Jakarta against violence that is occurred, either in household or public space.

"Women are very vulnerable to be victims of violence or human trafficking," he stated, Thursday (12/20). 

By so, it could continue to suppress violence act towards women from children age to adult. 

"This becomes our anticipatory step to protect children and women," he added.

Polda Metro Jaya Vice Chief, Brig. Gen. Wahyu Hadiningrat stated that such agreement became a synergy between Jakarta Government and Polda Metro Jaya in order to give protection and service to citizens. Especially to prevent and handle violation against children and women in Jakarta regions.

"We're here to give security to the citizens. I thank and appreciate Jakarta Government and all parties who have supported on this agreement," he expressed.

it would be followed up by forming integrated service team, information and data exchanging, preparing standard operating procedure (SOP) in an integrated manner, and case handling based on integrated referral mechanism and SOP.

"Hopefully our synergy grows strongly to give our best service to citizen, nation and country," he added.
